While the information that we collect is the key to our ability to provide superior service, our most important asset is our customers' trust. Keeping this information secure, and using it only as our customers would want us to, is the top priority for National Consumers Benefits Association. Therefore, we promise that:

  1. We will safeguard, according to strict standards of security and confidentiality, any information our customers share with us.
  2. We will limit the collection and use of customer information to the minimum we require to deliver superior service to our customers, which includes providing our customers with information about their association, offers or opportunities available through that association, and to administer our business.
  3. We will permit only authorized employees, who are trained in the proper handling of customer information, to have access to that information. Violation of these standards by any employee will not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action.
  4. We will always maintain control over the confidentiality of our customer information and will not reveal customer information to any external organization unless law requires us to.
  5. We will periodically send information to our customers regarding special offers and services available to them. We will tell customers in plain language initially, and at least once annually, how they may remove their names from our marketing lists. At any time, customers can contact us to remove their names from such lists.
  6. We will attempt to keep customer files complete, up-to-date, and accurate. We will tell our customers how to notify us about errors which we will promptly correct.
  7. In order to provide better service we will occasionally use a "cookie." A cookie is a small piece of information that a Web site stores on your Web browser on your PC and can later retrieve. A Web site other than the one that set the cookie cannot read the cookie. We use cookies to store your preferences for certain kinds of information. None will contain information that will enable anyone to contact you via telephone, e-mail, or any other means. You can set up your Web browser to inform you when cookies are set or to prevent cookies from being set.
  8. Caution: National Consumers Benefits Association cannot guarantee the confidentiality of transmissions prior to our receipt of them. Should you, as a customer, wish to transmit information other than through internet communication, please contact us and we will make appropriate arrangements. Otherwise, you are assuming the risk that transmissions are made to us and reach us in confidence, without any outside interference.
